EMEX: "We have very good expectations for this season"

Mexico expects to increase its mango production by 2023

According to the Association of Mango Exporters of Mexico (EMEX), the country will produce 295,768,528 million kilos of mango this season, surpassing the 295,071,524 million kilos harvested in the previous season. In the current season, production will be led by the state of Sinaloa with 61,718,658 million kilos. It will be followed by Michoacan with 59,476,818 million kilos, Oaxaca with 59,236,442 million kilos, Nayarit with 55,224,993, and Chiapas with 27,637,582 million kilos.

According to EMEX, in the 2023 campaign, Mexico will produce 94,055,742 million kilos of Ataulfo mango and 201,730,786 million kilos of other varieties.

According to EMEX sources, “we expect to have high quality mangoes in this campaign and an accentuated international dynamic, with the US as our main market. We have very good expectations for this season."

EMEX is also working intensively on the implementation of quality through the Mango EMEX quality seal. Several companies are expected to market their mangoes with this brand soon.
