"After the flood that affected our crops in Sicily last February, slowing down production, we have registered skyrocketing prices. Spanish productions registered the same trend, though they did not interfere with our trade," reports Giuseppe Libretti, CEO of Gruppo Libretti in Vittoria (RG).

"The situation is finally becoming stable again, and prices are in line with last year. We are expecting April, May, and June to be stable even though no one can actually predict how things will go. After all, the international situation seems fluid, and anyway, we operate on a global market where exchanges know no frontiers nor distances."
"We continue to successfully distribute also our cherry and date tomato sauces, which are available in all Italian and European big retail chains. Significant flows are also sent to the US and, thanks to our Halal and Kosher certifications, the expansion to the Middle East and other destinations of interest is continuing."
"If, over the past few years, we focused on processed product fairs, this year, we want to go back to taking part in events dedicated to fresh produce. That is why we will attend Macfrut in Rimini in May with a 50 sq. m. stand. We are very excited because we will project ourselves towards our origins of producers of vegetables for fresh consumption, a sector we have never neglected but that we aim at re-launching to make our company grow further."
