In 2022, the average price paid to Andalusian tomato producers was the highest of the last ten years

According to calculations by Hortofinfo, based on the Observatory of Prices and Markets of the Junta de Andalucía, in 2022, producers in Andalusia were paid an average of €0.99 per kilo of tomato (this average takes into account all tomato varieties), i.e. the highest level in ten years.

Ribbed tomatoes, which over the last ten years were sold at an average price of €0.86 per kilo, were sold in 2022 at an average price of €1.08 per kilo.

The average price of round tomatoes was €0.78/kg last year €0.51/kg in the past ten years.

The average price of plain tomatoes was €0.83/kg in 2022 and €0.58/kg in the past decade.

Producers were paid an average price of €0.77/kg for their pear tomatoes in 2022, and €0.52/kg in the past decade.

The average price of the branch tomato in 2022, excluding VAT, was €1.03/kg and €0.66/kg in the past ten years.

The average price of cherry tomatoes was € 1.44/kg last year and €1.15/kg in the past ten years.
