Manufacturer bekuplast produces durable reusable solutions for the careful storage and transport of fruit and vegetables. The fruit and vegetable containers are now available in a climate-neutral version as well.
Plastic and sustainability are by no means mutually exclusive. Container manufacturer bekuplast has been proving this for many years. From the very beginning, the company has relied on the "circular economy" principle and exclusively produces reusable solutions.
bekuplast's reusable containers have been used successfully for many years for storing and transporting fresh produce. Demand for collapsible containers in particular remains high, as they offer convincing practical advantages: After use, the empty containers are simply folded up. This saves space during storage and transport, which has a positive effect on transport costs. At the same time, the environment is protected, because fewer transports mean a reduction in CO2 and other climate-damaging emissions.
"Our folding container series "Clever-Fresh-Box advance" is in great demand," says Gerold Wilms, Key Account Manager at bekuplast. The collapsible containers in this series are available in four different heights and are compatible with other systems commonly used on the market. When folded, the volume of the "Clever-Fresh-Box advance" is reduced by up to 84%. The boxes can be folded and unfolded automatically in a flash. They are suitable for both manual handling and automated processes. The loadable containers have special perforations for optimum ventilation of the fresh produce. To ensure that the fruit and vegetables are transported and stored particularly gently, all surfaces are smooth and without sharp edges. The "Clever-Fresh-Box advance" is very easy to clean and hardly holds any residual water after washing and drying.
Transparent climate protection project
In principle, all bekuplast products are available climate-neutral on request. If a customer opts for a climate-neutral product, all CO2 emissions that cannot be avoided in the manufacturing process are offset. CO2 compensation is achieved by supporting climate protection projects that are audited and certified according to international standards. The climate neutral products are marked with the label "climate neutral" by "ClimatePartner". Customers can see which climate protection project is being supported.
In addition to collapsible containers, bekuplast will also be presenting rigid vegetable crates, versatile Euro containers and customized solutions, such as special containers for blueberries, at its stand.
