Strong export market for Australian lychees in New Zealand, Canada and US

According to Australia Lychee Growers Association president Derek Foley, who also grows the fruit in the Bundaberg region, the season is going well and lychee lovers can look forward to more quality this season. “Thankfully there has been a strong export market for Australian lychees to New Zealand, Canada and the United States meaning there have still been reasonable returns for growers. There is nothing like a fresh, cool lychee and with our exports being flown overseas it allows the freshness to be maintained.”

Thankfully throughout the Bundaberg region, local growers have kept up the exceptional quality when it comes to fresh lychees both in roadside stalls and stores.
