OASIS® Grower Solutions, a division of Smithers-Oasis, is proud to announce the promotion of Dr. Vijay Rapaka to Director of Global Grower Operations & Research.
“The last few months have been very exciting for our Grower group,” states VP of FloraLife® & Grower Global Operations and Corporate Research, Jim Daly. “Elevating Dr. Rapaka from the exploratory position he’s held for nearly 15 years to a directorship role was a smart decision for us. Vijay’s rich background in research will bring us closer to our corporate roots and overall strategy – further strengthening our position in the marketplace,” continues Daly.

After first joining Smithers-Oasis as a Senior Research Scientist in 2009, Dr. Rapaka’s talents led to him quickly becoming the Manager of Research at OASIS Grower Solutions, a division of Smithers-Oasis. It was there he and his team developed several innovative new products, including Horticubes® AeroMax hydroponic growing media. Dr. Rapaka continues to earn industry-wide recognition with his scientific insights, business acumen, and ability to help grow customer relationships.
