British Group Pavilion moves to new location

Returning once again to Fruit Logistica with a British Group Pavilion, organised by the CHA has really taken off in recent years with more and more British companies taking booths or enjoying the communal space and meeting rooms.

This year will see the stand move to Hall 21 with a much bigger area available for the exhibitors.

UK group will include growers, wholesalers and suppliers offering innovative and new technologies.

On the stand will also be representatives from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and the Department for International Trade (DIT) who will be happy to answer questions about importing and exporting into and out of the UK market, DEFRA having recently published new guidelines on Border controls.

There will also be new information available about the AgriTech UK website, managed on behalf of DIT by the UK Tag (UK Genetics Association) , the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) and the CHA.  An international information source for anyone wishing to do business with UK companies and linked to the CHA website for CHA member data.

Pat Flynn, Trade Association Manager at CHA, puts the growing success of the stand down to a better understanding of who to approach to exhibit.

“We understand the trade fair, who exhibits here and who visits here. We provide a base space where people can have meetings and we also have a range of facilities available. We have new exhibitors this year including a currency company which can help people understand exchange rates and forward buying of currency which is becoming increasingly important in the sector. We will have a range of people on the stand from growers to retailers.”

Pat said that Brexit has not made it easy from UK companies, more and more are now looking to export further afield and Berlin is not just a European platform but a global one.
