Frozen Mango sent 13 tons of frozen Biche mango pulp to California

"We want to increase our presence in the United States next year"

Frozen Mango, a company established 8 years ago, has managed to export 13 tons of frozen mango to the United States in May of this year and 4 tons of mango to Ecuador in October.

“The company was established on July 18, 2014. When we started we were located in a shopping center in the city of Cali. Our goal was to sell something different using the product, so we started preparing 100% natural Biche mango granitas,” stated Fabio Hinestrosa, the commercial manager of Frozen Mango. "We've done very well since we started because we've worked hard to make a quality product. We get mango from local producers in the Caribbean coast, Tolima, Valle del Cauca, among other departments,” he stated.

Frozen Mango already has distribution points in Bogota, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Chia, Cucuta, Manizales, Medellin, Rionegro, San Andres, and Villavicencio. “We were pioneers in this sector. Now we have competition, which has affected us negatively and positively. Sometimes people confuse our product with other brands, but that allows customers to contrast them and realize that we're offering a high-quality product,” Hinestrosa stated.

6 years ago, Frozen Mango managed to open the way to send the pulp to the US market. “It was not easy for it to arrive at the temperature required by the US authorities. We would send the pulp in styrofoam coolers with some ice stacks to keep it cold. The maximum we could send was a ton,” he added. Currently, the company works with the One Frost company, which deals with the logistics of exporting frozen products.

"We want to increase our presence in the United States next year" In the national market we want to maintain controlled growth, we have been affected by the increase in the costs of the raw materials we use. Our goal is to maintain our business level and continue to manage the branches we have managed to establish very well," he concluded.
