"We hope to extend the shelf life of dragon fruit by 50 percent"

It's the peak season for dragon fruit sales. Although the market is facing many challenges such as high production and logistics costs and increased transportation time, this does not affect the growing market demand for dragon fruit.

According to Debby, most of the imported dragon fruits sold in the Chinese market come from Vietnam. Although the COVID-19 tests for dragon fruits were occasionally positive during the pandemic and imports were suspended, they quickly returned to normal. Therefore, the recent demand for preservatives by merchants is relatively stable.

The ANGEL FRESH preservative for dragon fruit mainly comes in two forms: tablet and sachet. “Usually small sachets are used in boxes, while tablets are suitable for the handling of the entire container. If it is a short-term shipment, you can use only the small sachet; if it is a long-term shipment (more than a month), we recommend using both products for an enhanced effect," Debby said.

"The main active ingredient of ANGEL FRESH is 1-MCP, which is an effective ethylene inhibitor. It has obvious effects on inhibiting the yellowing and wilting of dragon fruit, thereby prolonging the shelf life of the product. Our ANGEL FRESH sachet has a variety of specifications, suitable for different packages of various sizes. The product is very convenient to use, just put the fresh-keeping sachet in the dragon fruit packaging."

"Fresh-keeping sachets can be used in all aspects of post-harvest of fruits and vegetables, especially in storage and transportation. In addition, we can also provide customers with customized fresh-keeping solutions according to different packaging and usage scenarios," Debby said. "Usually using ANGEL FRESH preservative can prolong the freshness of dragon fruit by about 50%, but the specific effect still depends on the fruit itself and the storage and transportation conditions."
