Elea PEF celebrates 10 year anniversary at Advantage Day

New belt system for the potato and vegetable industry

On November 16 & 17, Elea held their PEF Advantage Day at their facilities in Quakenbrück, Germany. This year, the event also marked the 10th anniversary of the company.

Talks, insights and demonstrations were by both resident and industry experts with a focus on PEF improving product quality, enhancing production process, increasing yield, saving energy, reducing costs and bringing new product opportunities to the food, beverage and biotechnology sector.

A tour in the Elea showroom took visitors through the PEF system range with options for one-to-one sessions about PEF solutions tailored for their business. This was combined with a social program.

New, high-capacity system range presented
Elea presented the new belt system in its range. With all safety features included into the belt vessel, the design enables processing of up to 100 t/h with a compact, easy to install footprint. The largest free cross section on the market and optimized product in- and outfeed allow high product to water ratio with only generator required.

Pulsed Electric Fields (PEF) opens cell membranes, improving tuber cutting and slicing and reducing energy and water requirements. Since 2012 more than 200 Elea PEF systems have been installed.
