Two Dutch transport companies, T. Vreugdenhil and D. Zonneveld, have decided to enter an extensive partnership. That was made official on Thursday, November 2. These companies will now be known as Transportbedrijf T. Vreugdenhil.
"We began discussions in May. Our companies have been familiar with each other for some time, and we increasingly found that we fit together and, service-wise, complement each other perfectly. That led to us joining forces, something with which we're delighted," says Ton Vreugdenhil.
Strength
D. Zonneveld transport's Peter van Velden, too, feels great about this far-reaching cooperation, which arose from a place of strength. "We live in a time of scaling up. And we, as transport companies, must move with those times. Both businesses are highly skilled, with more than 130 years of cumulative experience, and are in perfect health. We've thus created an expertly functioning transport company that can meet market wishes and demands even better."
"We offer fast, reliable, flexible transportation in multiple disciplines. That includes our specialty, refrigerated agricultural goods transport, as well as transporting of and with containers, bulk, sliding canvas, open trailer, and courier transports," says Peter. Both companies have the latest ICT environments, which track all their vehicles in real-time. Administrative processes are automated, and both businesses are BRC and QS-certified.
Numbers
This merger means Transportbedrijf T. Vreugdenhil b.v. now has more than 80 vehicles, and its staff has swelled to 90. The collaboration does not affect office staff and drivers. In fact, according to Vreugdenhil and Van Velden, the new grouping creates even more room for optimizing both companies' healthy, pleasant, modern working environments. This new transporter, thus, remains attractive to existing and new drivers.
