Frutas do Brasil is present at Asia Fruit Logistica, in Bangkok

Four Brazilian companies participating in Frutas do Brasil – a project for the internationalization of the Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruits and Derivatives (Abrafrutas) with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) – will participate in Asia Fruit Logistica, the main hub for Asian fresh fruit and vegetable business.

The event takes place between the 2nd and 4th of November, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, located in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok. Importers walking through the fair's corridors cannot fail to check out the Frutas do Brasil stand, which will feature the following fruit growers: Castello, Schio, Be Fruit and Agrifood.

According to Jorge de Souza, technical and project director at ABRAFRUTAS, this is a great business opportunity for Brazilian companies. “Asian countries continue to be important trading partners for Brazil, especially for agribusiness,” he explains.

According to the director, in August, international sales of Brazilian agriculture to Asia increased by up to 300%. India alone imported US$297.7 million, which corresponds to a growth of 390.2% in one year. “We are excited for the international reception of our fruit during the event. It will certainly be days of a lot of networking and negotiations”, concludes Jorge.

This year, Asia Fruit Logistica celebrates its 15th anniversary. The fair covers the entire value chain of the fresh produce industry and service support companies as well as the latest products and innovative ideas, bringing together essential market information on all aspects of the fresh produce trade across the Asian region.
