France: One year after joining Demain la Terre, Clos Rabelais receives the label for its entire production

Clos Rabelais has been a member of the Demain la Terre organization since March 2021 and the company recently received the label for its entire production as a reward for its commitment in favor of sustainable development. This way, Demain la Terre further consolidates its volume of labeled products in melons and extends its range with asparagus, zucchinis, butternut squash, red kuri squash and watermelons.

Located in Indre-et-Loire, Clos Rabelais has been producing melons for over 20 years. Thanks to a particular soil and the experience of its two managers, the melons of Clos Rabelais benefit from the PGI Haut Poitou. A second production site in the Herault department allows the company to produce a total of 4,500 tons of melons, as well as other crops like asparagus, zucchinis, butternut squash, red kuri squash and watermelons for a total production of 5,000 tons on 350 hectares.

As a member of Demain la Terre since March 2021, Clos Rabelais has succeeded, in just over a year, to obtain the label for its entire production. According to Laurent Chevalier, co-manager of Clos Rabelais, “Joining Demain la Terre is also a way for us to include our company and production methods in a sustainable development approach while keeping our current certifications: Global GAP, HEV, organic…”
