Tottenham Hotspur on the lookout for organic gardener to grow fresh fruit and veg

North London football club Tottenham Hotspur is looking for an organic gardener to grow fresh fruit and veg for its players. The gardener will look after vegetable plots and fruit trees at the club's training ground.

Alas, compared to Tottenham's multi-millionaire players, the gardener's wage is a little bit more modest, set at £30,000 a year. For that, they will tackle vegetable plots and fruit trees at the club's training ground and deliver organic products to the plates of first-teamers, including striker Son Heung-min and goalie Hugo Lloris.

Tottenham's grow-your-own-produce drive is believed to be the first among Premier League clubs.

Potential candidates should have "two years of experience as a kitchen gardener with knowledge of production practices such as sowing, crop husbandry, and harvesting for our fine dining restaurant."
