In the 2021/22 campaign, Spain broke its historical cucumber export volume, value, and price records

According to data from Hortoinfo, between August 1, 2021, and July 31, 2022, Spain exported 698.31 million kilos of cucumber for 835.53 million euros and an average price of 1.2€/kg; the highest figures reached ever.

Purchases were led by Germany, which in the last campaign bought 297.56 million kilos for 355.5 million euros and an average price of 1.19 €/kg.

It was followed by the United Kingdom with 108.75 million kilos worth 133.04 million euros and an average price of 1.22 €/kg, the highest price among the country's major importers.

The Netherlands ranked third after purchasing 62.97 million kilos of Spanish cucumber for 70.8 million euros, and an average price of 1.12 €/kg.

These three countries concentrated 67.2% of all Spanish cucumber exports.
