Is there any relationship between cryptocurrencies and avocados?

They might seem like two very distant concepts; however, in recent years, both products have developed an enviable solidity in business, as well as upward projections. These are two very important reasons that led to the creation of AvocadoCoin (AVDO), the first cryptocurrency supported by the production of Mexican avocados.

According to Mexican businessman and lawyer Luis Doporto Alejandre, it could be an interesting formula to transform the existing paradigm in the field where the so-called "green gold" is produced.

"It seems a bit irrational for an industry that is worth seven billion dollars in production alone, to lack technological support and funding to improve its conditions in the orchards. AvocadoCoin could be a win-win for producers, consumers, and of course, crypto enthusiasts,” the entrepreneur stated.

According to data from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), by 2030 avocado could become the most commercialized tropical fruit in the world. Despite this, only 5% of producers in Michoacan, where most of the product consumed in the United States is produced, have access to technological and industrial resources for their orchards.

In this regard, Luis Doporto Alejandre said, AvocadoCoin will pay the industry through intelligent agriculture technologies, automation in production cycles, traceability, as well as the Internet of Things (IoT) and AgTech solutions, but it will also allow solving an outstanding commitment: sustainability.

Finally, the Mexican entrepreneur said that, even though most cryptocurrencies have fallen, the digital asset in question has prevailed upwards in recent months winning the support of the United Arab Emirates Royal House.

After three years of development, AVDO has managed to increase its value by 60% since it was launched, and so far it has attracted more than 100,000 small investors. The asset is traded on several international platforms, such as IndoEx, Dex-Trade, and AlterDice.
