Organic grower celebrates five year anniversary

This year marks Fruit World’s fifth anniversary and it’s excited to celebrate with customers and grower partners in-person at the Organic Produce Summit.

Fruit World started with the humble vision of ensuring its family farms would continue thriving into future generations. It quickly realized there was room to broaden its vision to include additional sustainably minded family growers and today, it is proud of the company created and enjoys getting to live its values daily.

Fruit World's specialty grape program kicks off with organic Thomcords.

What’s happening at Fruit World? It begins harvesting grapes this month, which will be displayed at its OPS booth in fun, bold high-graphic paper tote bags that are both recyclable and compostable. Fruit World’s specialty grape program will kick off with organic Thomcords, followed by Kyohos by the end of July.

In the next few years Fruit World’s specialty grape program will continue growing with additional heritage varieties starting up. It is continually on the lookout for super flavorful heirloom varieties and crosses that are not currently widely available in the domestic marketplace.

Fruit World will have summer lemons and oranges on display at the show.

Of course the grower’s booth will also be full of citrus! It will have summer lemons and oranges on display and will show off its vibrant retail packaging. Fruit World continues to increase organic citrus acreage and has expanded its organic specialty citrus offerings to include different types of citrus-quats, lemonade lemons, Buddha’s hand and more. It’s excited for those to hit the market in two to three years.

Fruit World heads to the OPS every year to spend time with fellow produce nerds, friends, partners and industry experts, as well as sharpen its understanding of challenges and opportunities facing the organic sector. The grower looks forward to being together with everyone in July, so stop by booth #413 to chat, sample some delicious fruit, give Fruit World a high five and have some fun!
