The export season for this year’s table grapes from Uzbekistan started in the second half of June and will last until March 2022. The total share of these five months accounts for about 80-90% of the total export volume for the entire season. The preliminary results for June-November 2021 indicate a record volume and low prices for the exports of Uzbek table grapes this year.
The volume of exports in June-November 2021 exceeded the annual volume of previous years by more than 40%, reaching a new record for at least the last five years.
Despite the consistent growth in volume, the growth in exports earnings turned out to be modest. Revenue from the exports of table grapes from Uzbekistan in June-November 2021 increased by 12% compared to the same period in 2020 and by 22% compared to the same period in 2019.
