In recent years, extreme climate variability has caused issues for crop production from time to time. Coupled with the epidemic in the past two years, many crops have faced the dilemma that they cannot be imported. The lettuce produced by YesHealth Smart Farm in Taiwan unexpectedly fills the gap in this regard. In many large stores, supermarket chains, and department stores, it is not difficult to see vegetables from YesHealth. A few years ago, the plant factory was developing rapidly, but YesHealth did not consider itself as a plant factory and emphasized that it is a "smart farm" with plant-centric technology supplemented by growth.

Lu Yongjun, Marketing Director at YesHealth said that YesHealth Smart Farm is planted by imitating the natural ecological environment and respecting the physiological conditions of plants. He believes that sunlight, air, water, microbial liquid fertilizer, and music are indispensable. Therefore, it includes the introduction of artificial light, cultivation with ultra-fine bubble water, and letting vegetables drink soy milk, consume probiotics, listen to classical music, and by blowing natural wind, so that vegetables can grow in an environment that mimics nature, breaking the stereotype that hydroponic vegetables are tasteless.
YesHealth Smart Farm has a total of 14 floors and is planted in three areas. Big data analysis and intelligent monitoring were introduced to help stabilize the production environment and make up for natural weather problems. Through this kind of planting method, YesHealth Smart Farm has cultivated lettuce that has no presence of heavy metals, parasite eggs, E. coli, Listeria, or Salmonella. It retains the original and delicious taste of lettuce.
YesHealth Smart Farm has iPalleo on the second floor, which is a private kitchen where visitors can directly eat all kinds of lettuce grown by YesHealth.
Lu Yongjun emphasized that YesHealth is not competing with Taiwan's existing organic vegetable cultivation, but wants to make up for the shortfall in Taiwan's lettuce, which mostly relies on imports, and to make up for the lack of agricultural lettuce and spices in Taiwan. Because of the epidemic, many lettuces cannot be imported. Taiwan eats a lot of lettuce originally grown abroad. It also reduces the mileage of vegetable transportation and greatly reduces the carbon footprint.
YesHealth Smart Farm also promotes the importance of healthy eating through continuous education and sharing, emphasizing that all-around physical and mental balance is the greatest wealth in life. A healthy diet is the first step. When you are in good health, you are also happy. After years of hard work, Chinese people have gradually developed the habit of eating lettuce. During the summer and up to the Mid-Autumn Festival, the monthly peak sales season is fine, but it still faces the problem of the fall and winter off-season.
At present, YesHealth is also actively exploring a cooperation with other catering channels and diversified ways of eating lettuce. It is hoped that by providing healthy and delicious lettuce, more people will be exposed to various ways of eating lettuce instead of just making salads.
In addition to the domestic market, YesHealth is also targeting the international market, including Europe, the Middle East and other places, to discuss the possibility of cooperating to set up production bases. It is hoped that through international cooperation, more people will eat healthy vegetables, we can reduce the shortage of vegetables caused by environmental changes, and we will allow more people to have a physical and mental health balance.
