A lot of interest for PolyFilm-Plus, ideal for Crimson grapes

"Over the past two year, the interest in PolyFilm-Plus covers installed on Crimson grapes has noticeably grown, so much so that orders have increased by around 60% in just a few months. The product is a state-of-the-art thermoplastic film that protects the fruit from weather events and sudden temperature changes and favors the passing of UV rays leading to faster ripening and excellent size, color and sugar level."

This is what reported by Francesco Ruggia from Retilplast, a company located in Campania specializing in the production, processing and commercialization of nets, films and tarpaulins for the protection and improvement of fruit and vegetable production.

"Over 70% of the product is ready to be harvested, but there are a few businesses that have actually already finished the 2020 Crimson grape campaign with field prices above €1.00/kg."

"Most of the vineyards covered with our solutions are located in the Taranto province and in Metaponto. We are not just talking about the Crimson variety, but of all seedless varieties, both red and green. PolyFilm Plus is guaranteed for 5 campaigns, so the initial investment can be paid off."

"It is a clear cover that generates diffused light to avoid burned leaves and that, in the top part of the structure, maintains a temperature of 4-5°C lower than in traditional systems so as to improve production quality."
