Window to Chinese market

iFresh 2016 concludes in Shanghai

Today iFresh concluded in Shanghai. Exhibitors and visitors were pleased with attendance and visitors.



During the exhibition, a number of events were staged that celebrated local and domestic industry players. On the Monday evening there was a gala dinner during which a number of industry awards were handed out to domestic fruit growers and marketing companies. The Australian stonefruit association welcomed a visit of the Australian Assistant Minister to the Deputy Prime Minister to welcomed the first Australian nectarines shipped to China. In addition, a large Egyptian delegation travelled to the Huizhan wholesale market to attend a ceremonial meeting between Chinese importers and Egyptian citrus and grape exporters.

A number of companies were presented on stage during the three days, including introductions on specific locally grown products. Also at the event, reverse purchasing meetings were organised.

The exhibition provides a strong overview of the Chinese fresh produce market and trends. Most exhibitors and attendees are domestic, but it could be an opportunity for foreign visitors who want to explore the market.
