About 80% of Chile's cherries sold in China

The Chilean Fruit Exporters Association (asoex) announced the cherry export forecast for next year. In the year 2015-2016, the Chilean cherry export capacity is expected to reach 120,000 tons, a growth of 15%-20% based on last year. China has already become Chile's biggest cherry consumer market. Last year, Mainland China and Hong Kong imported 49,673 tons and 32,073 tons of cherries, accounting for 79.3% of the total sum of Chile's total export volume.
