Combining these fields of expertise creates an enormously powerful formula," Chayenne Wiskerke said last year. Rien Murre confirmed this: "More can be done with this beautiful product. That's why we established the joint venture."
Back then, the founders already indicated that in time, a company would emerge in which the shareholders wouldn't interfere with the day to day business anymore, and Chayenne Wiskerke and Rien Murre would gradually withdraw from Daily Shallot. With the termination of the joint venture, that planning is out the window. Chayenne Wiskerke already referred to Rien Murre for a response at the end of September. The latter had promised a substantive response when everything was concluded, but now goes back on that promise.
