BanaBay doubles UK offices
As it enters its third year in business, BanaBay is doubling the size of its UK headquarters to accommodate new staff members to service growing demands for its fresh produce globally.
Mark O’Sullivan, MD BanaBay (Front Left) with his UK-based team around him.
Appointments in 2014 in sales, marketing, quality control and customer services have boosted the international team to 18 people including those based at the US and recently opened China satellite offices.
From January 2015 BanaBay will be exporting 150 containers a week of bananas worldwide with further increases expected as customer bases expand in Australasia, Poland, the Middle East and China.
Mark O’Sullivan, MD, BanaBay says: “As both the number of customers and orders increase we need to keep pace through staffing to ensure our standard of customer care is maintained and we can continue to provide the flexible and responsive service we are known for.”
The BanaBay tropical fruit portfolio includes conventional, Fairtrade, Organic & Organic Fairtrade, bananas and pineapples, plus plantains; with plans to formally introduce mangoes and BanaBino baby bananas at Fruit Logistica in Berlin 4-6th February 2015.
