On the 25th September Carrefour will open their first Supeco store, of approximately 2,000m², in Romania (Râmnicu Vâlcea). Carrefour has announced three more creations in Romania where they have just launched their 26th Carrefour hypermarket.
A hybrid concept mixing the ideas of a discount supermarket with a cash and carry, Supeco was launched by Carrefour in Spain in 2012. Nine stores have since been opened there.
The instalment of Supeco in Romania leads people to question it’s arrival in other European countries, maybe in France. Carrefour has not commented on such speculations.
