Germany: Biogas cogeneration for Rewe logistics center in Eitting

The 'Energie-Handels-Gesellschaft' uit Hamburg (EHA), in collaboration with German retailer Rewe and BE-SA Energy, has developed a new energy-saving concept for Rewe’s logistic center in Eitting. A brand new CHP power station will supply environment-friendly energy, utilizing biogas from a nearby farming company.

The logistics center near Munich is a large storage and office complex that supplies over 480 Rewe outlets with goods. The CHP station will probably generate over 2,000 MW of thermal energy a year.
