Gourmet Trading Company, North American distributor of fresh asparagus, blueberries and blackberries, has launched an online memorial page honoring the company’s late CEO and President, Chris Martin, who passed away on July 23, 2012.
"We felt that the internet was a good avenue to reach all the people who Chris had an impact on throughout the world. The Chris Martin Memorial Page contains a video with pictures of Chris throughout his career in the produce industry with growers, trade members, and colleagues. It also contains a speech about optimism that Chris gave that clearly shows how he looked at things with a strong sense of positivity," stated Julia Inestroza, Gourmet Trading Company Marketing Director.
The Chris Martin Memorial Page is located on the company’s website (www.gourmettrading.net) and features a message board, video, news articles and information on how to donate to the Christopher Martin Memorial Fund. The company set up the fund shortly after Chris Martin’s passing as a way to raise money in his honor to continue the support of the education of the company’s Peruvian farm families, a cause that was very important to Chris.
