"Jan van der Mey: "Greenhouse vegetables 14 days old and in great condition"

Peakfresh conducts tests with Spanish greenhouse vegetable supplier

Jan van der Mey sells the Peakfresh-packaging exclusively to the European and African market. Peakfresh is a patented technique to keep fruit and vegetable products fresh for longer. The shelf life is more than doubled by adding minerals to the plastic packaging. Peakfresh has recently started running tests with a Spanish greenhouse vegetable supplier.

"Peakfresh doesn't only offer the possibility to keep products for longer, but also to transport to far away destinations without flowpack. The products naturally arrive claim-free. "We have recently conducted a test with Spanish greenhouse vegetables and it went really well. The products, that you see here in the photos, are already fourteen days old but are still in great condition," tells Jan. "This pilot was conducted with packaging in the crate, but we also offer Peakfresh-pallet covers which work just as well.

During Fruit Attraction, which will be held in Madrid on the 24th through the 26th of October, Peakfresh with present its techniques to a large audience. The company will share a stand in the Holland-pavilion with the outdoor vegetable company Freeland, from Emmen (Hal 1, Stand 1B04).
