On Saturday 22 September the International Strawberry Fair took place in Proefcentrum Hoogstraten. About 710 professional visitors attended the specialized fair. Thanks to the new approach we received a lot of attention from our own region but also from abroad. Especially Germany and the Netherlands were strongly represented.
"The conducted tours by strawberry researchers and the information team were a great success. Many growers used the opportunity to receive more information about the ongoing research on strawberries during the conducted tours. The demonstrations in the field were partly focused on the use of IPM. A strong presentation of various types of plastic stores and tunnel systems took care of the special interest for the demonstrations."
