Potatoes are washed in Jacuzzis
The potato company Warnez has recently installed pre-soak tanks, also known as "Jacuzzis for potatoes". “This is unique in Belgium and still unprecedented for potatoes. The potatoes will have to spend less time in the washing installation due to this investment, thus decreasing the probability of damage and bruises.”

“This also increases the general quality and washability of potatoes and we can use the washing water in a more efficient way. The Jacuzzis take care of four potato washing steps: pre-soaking, warming, destoning, and the cleaning of mud. This allows our potatoes to go clean and smooth to the supermarkets.”
