Representatives from Kazakhstan have made a working trip to China to strengthen their trade and economic ties between the regions. Their visit included the "Khorgos 5G". It was launched in 2021. "Jinyi International Trade" also has a warehouse in Khorgos. The company exports fresh fruits and vegetables to five countries.
The Zhetysu Region of Kazakhstan and the Ili-Kazakh Autonomous Region of China are predominantly agricultural regions. There are many modern greenhouse complexes in Ili-Kazakh. One such complex cultivates several varieties of commercial tomatoes using drip irrigation. Over an area of 7 hectares, up to 3200 tons of produce are harvested daily for nine months.
The Governor of the Kazakhstan Region has proposed to the Chinese company's management to build a similar warehouse on the Kazakhstan side. He also suggested the construction of a similar greenhouse complex in his region, as all the necessary conditions are available in the region. Thanks to road and rail links, the warehouse can supply vegetables to the five regions in the eastern part of Kazakhstan, with a population of 6-7 million people. Company representatives have expressed their readiness to consider the proposal and, if necessary, train the relevant specialists.
