Gross production value is estimated at R$1.9 billion

Grapes from Pernambuco witness best sales in Brazil

The Gross Value of Grape Production in Pernambuco is estimated at R$1.9 billion (€340 mln) for 2023, 1.2% higher than last year. The result is the best achieved by the State since 2020.

Pernambuco accounts for 0.8% of the national GPV, ranking 16th in Brazil and fourth in the Northeast , with projected growth for oranges, castor beans, cassava, tomatoes and grapes by 2023. The estimated production of the crops is R$6.1 billion, representing 60.8% of the income of agriculture in Pernambuco, more than half.
