The Greenery auctions Qcumber's first cucumbers for charity

On Friday, February 3, the Dutch cooperative, The Greenery, auctioned its first cucumbers. As in previous years, this year's cucumbers come from grower Qcumber.

The first cucumbers were handed over on Friday.

And like every year, the first box was auctioned for the Kika charity. Every euro helps research into childhood cancer - a terrible disease - continue. This year P. Solleveld Export again bought this first box.

That was also the case in previous years, but this year was special. Piet Solleveld passed away on September 15, 2022. This first box of cucumbers is thus dedicated to him. It was purchased for €1,224, with The Greenery increasing the amount to €2,500.

A nice start to P. Solleveld Export's 75th anniversary year, which it hopes to celebrate in August.
