Uzbekistan can become a major supplier of dried and fresh fruits

On January 10, Singapore hosted a round table about the prospect of Uzbekistan and Singapore entering into a mutually beneficial partnership.

The event was organized by the International Institute of Central Asia and the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) of Nanyang Technological University Singapore. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, as well as experts from the countries leading analytical and research structures.

In his opening speech, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan K. Shakirov praised the state and prospects of bilateral Uzbek-Singapore cooperation. “Thanks to the established trusting relationship, the dynamics of interaction are steadily growing in all areas. Uzbekistan can become a major supplier of great tasting dried and fresh fruits, which will sure to be in great demand in Singapore.”
