India's Telangana now surplus fruit production state

India's youngest State, Telangana, now produces more fruit than its residents consume with over 6 294 million metric tons and a demand of only 186 MT.

The state produces 14 fruits at a surplus, this includes mango, watermelon, sweet orange, acid lime, guava and papaya amongst others. It still has a deficit in producing grapes, apples, banana, pomegranate and pineapples.
