The agricultural sector is named as the most dynamic, having improved by 3.5% over the period, against 1.7% in 2020. "The sector [agriculture] has seen a strong boost of foreign trade, supported by an increase in the production of cocoa beans (13.7%) and bananas (9.0%)," the report said.

This led to an increase of 0.4 point (against 0.2 point in 2020) in the contribution of agricultural activities to the GDP in 2021.
