USDA citrus maturity test results

FASS revisits 275 Florida citrus groves

Results of the first orange and grapefruit maturity tests for the 2022-2023 season, using only regular bloom fruit, are listed below. Sample groves and trees remain relatively constant from season to season. Fruit was picked from trees throughout the citrus growing region on August 29-30, 2022. Each sample was weighed, juiced, and tested by the Florida Agricultural Statistics Service (FASS) on August 31, 2022, and September 1, 2022. The next monthly maturity and yield test results will be published in the October 12, 2022 forecast release, and will include late (Valencia) oranges.

Results on this table are averages for the state.
