Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor quoted the head of the service, Sergey Dankvert, as saying that the turnover of agricultural products between Russia and Iran in 2022 may grow by 10-15% compared to last year. In just the first 8 months of 2022, Iran became one of the largest exporters to Russia of white cabbage (73,000 tons), kiwi (55,000 tons), pepper (37,000 tons), watermelons (36,000 tons), iceberg lettuce (19,000 tons), oranges (17,000 tons), eggplants (16,000 tons), apples (13,000 tons) and other products. During this period, the total delivery of fruits and vegetables to Russia reached 416,000 tons.
