Zucchini Car Racing is coming to Vancouver next month

Zucchini is a multi-purpose vegetable. It can be roasted, fried, and even turned into "zoodles" for people's favorite Italian noodle recipes. But what's even more interesting is that it can be used for racing.

The unique Zucchini Car Racing will take place on September 11 this year at the McSpadden County Fair in the east of Vancouver, Canada.

The event was first launched in 2016 to unite the community. At the market, there will be many local vendors, food trucks, entertainment stalls, competitions, and more. In this year's sixth edition of the annual Zucchini Car Racing, competitors decorate vegetables with wheels and slide down a 26-foot ramp.

Zucchini Car Racing is divided into 5 categories, and all racers must meet strict requirements. Each participant has to make a car with zucchini himself/herself. The width of the car must be less than 25 cm, including wheels and decorations.
