Rudy Pallaut, Garonne Fruits - Le Saint Network

"Our in-store melon campaign is designed to boost impulse buying"

It's been a week since Rudy Pallaut, large and medium-sized retailers manager at Garonne Fruits - Le Saint network, set up a cross-promotional campaign highlighting melon and dry-cured ham, both under their Charnel brand, as well as rosé wine. This operation aims to boost sales in the store and stimulate impulse buying.

We have carried out numerous operations involving the Charnel melon in the stores of various brands such as Intermarché, Leclerc, Super U, Auchan, and even Carrefour. Our customers have been pleased with the results, especially when the promoters are there. They have recorded an increase in melon sales".

A perfect operation for this summer period of high heat: "The consumption of melon is very important at the moment because the heat is good for sales. Prices are also relatively stable, although they may rise again soon with a decrease in volumes due to the heat. The melon that we are currently selling under the Charnel brand comes from France and has been produced according to strict specifications to meet our customers' expectations. Quality is very important to us and our objective is to offer reliable products. The objective of our Charnel brand is to encourage repeat purchases. For a customer who eats a good melon will inevitably come back to the store."
