Citri&Co integrates the Spanish subsidiary of the Brazilian company Famosa

Citri&Co keeps growing. After recently signing an agreement to acquire the fresh fruit business of San Miguel, a leading company in the production and distribution of fruits and natural ingredients from the southern hemisphere, this week the Official Gazette of the Mercantile Registry of Valencia registered that the fruit giant had integrated the Spanish subsidiary of Agricola Famosa, the Brazilian company in which Citri&Co became a shareholder almost a year and a half ago.

The group has pointed out that it was a transaction among related parties within the usual intra-group corporate movements and has not provided any information regarding the activities of the company, which is a holding for asset management. With the absorption, materialized through the Global Melon firm, which Citri&Co created on January 14, 2021, a few months before its entry into Agricola Famosa, the connection with the Brazilian company, which depended 100% on the Brazilian parent company, becomes included in the Spanish group.

With the merger, Famosa Partners Spain, the company absorbed, disappears. Its heir, Global Melon, also has no activity other than managing assets. And that's enough because it is responsible for being the voice of Citri&Co one of the world's leading producers and exporters of melons and watermelons.
