After an on-site tour at Italy's Romagna Impianti, Fruit Net System and Agrimillora are planning another open day to offer the chance to see a mechanized harvesting demo in a super-intensive almond orchard. The appointment is set for Saturday, 27 August starting at 8:30 a.m., at the headquarters of Romagna Impianti (location: via Selice provinciale 55/A).

The day will be scheduled in 4 steps. There will be first the meeting at Romagna Impianti where attendees will receive a welcome bag filled with all the sponsors' logos, brochures, gadgets. From here, there will be shuttles to the almond grove. Participants will then be divided into groups to assist the various operations.

The first phase will include the following moments: a description of the plant by Romagna Impianti; the the varietal description by Agrimillora; the economic aspects of almond orchard management described by Fruit Net System; the benefits of sensor technology explained by iƬFarming. Afterwards, Agrisol will describe the irrigation section and Eurocompany will illustrate business opportunities.
The second phase will include a visit of the exhibition with the sponsors' stands.
The third step is that of the actual harvest, where groups will see the almond hulling and shelling process.
The fourth and final phase is to return to the Romagna Impianti headquarters, have lunch and share opinions and experiences.
