The Ministry of Commerce has promoted the export of potential agricultural products to Myanmar in order to strengthen bilateral trade cooperation between the two ASEAN countries. In a meeting with Thit Linn Ohn, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Cambodia on July 14, Pan Sorasak, Cambodian Minister of Commerce, requested the Myanmar side to consider the possibility of boosting the import of potential agricultural products. from Cambodia.
The agricultural products include mango, banana, avocado, cashew nut, sweet potato and pepper.
For his part, the head of Myanmar’s diplomatic mission in Cambodia expressed his commitment to strengthen and expand the trade cooperation between both nations. He also emphasized the consideration of the possibility of promoting cooperation in other important areas, including the double tax avoidance and the promotion and protection of investment between the two sides. The two-way trade topped $28.2 million in 2020.
