More than 200 ha of land released from phytosanitary quarantine in Novgorod region

Based on the results of quarantine phytosanitary monitoring, the North-Western Interregional Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor has abolished quarantine phytosanitary zones for the golden potato nematode (Globodera rostochiensis (Woll.) on land of the Borovichi district (Novgorod region) with a total area of ​​232,8 hectares.

On these plots, the quarantine phytosanitary regime was introduced in 2008 and was in effect for 14 years. Today, the Borovichi district is recognized as free from this type of quarantine pest. In addition, the area of ​​the quarantine phytosanitary zone in the Novgorod region was reduced by 37,7 hectares.

In total, over the past period of 2022, the department has abolished 8 quarantine phytosanitary zones and reduced 1 quarantine phytosanitary zone for the golden potato nematode on a total area of ​​291,03 hectares.
