Old pears ended at a high price, while new pears started with a high price but decreased later

The sales of old pears have entered the final stage, and the prices of different varieties have seen rises and falls. The closing price is higher overall. Compared with the prices of the same period in the past five years, the average price of Huangguan pears, Ya pears, Su pears, and Korla fragrant pears is lower than the highest price in 2019 in the current wholesale market but higher than the average price of the wholesale market in 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021.

Due to the low purchase price and high sales price of fresh pears in the 2021 season, the fruit merchants and farmers who stored fruit this year had relatively good benefits, and the market is running smoothly.

Recently, early Lvbaoshi pear, Zaosu pear, Xin pear No. 7, and other varieties have been listed in the market. The purchase price started at a high level but decreased later. According to the feedback from pear merchants, the initial purchase price of Lvbaoshi was 5.8 yuan/kg, but it did not last long. The price fell to about 3.0 yuan/kg recently. The purchase price of Zaosu pears in Shanxi is 4.0 yuan/kg, and it also dropped to 2.4 yuan/kg in the past two days. The price of early varieties showed a trend of a sharp decrease in a short period of time, which also surprised fruit farmers and fruit merchants.

The listing time of early pears has certain advantages. Old pears have entered the end and the price is high, which creates a good opportunity for the listing of early pears. However, the purchase price of early pears dropped sharply in a short period of time mainly due to the quality problem. There are serious problems with early harvesting, and the taste and quality of the pear cannot meet the requirements of consumers when the fruits do not meet the standard of harvesting.

In order to get the maximum benefit by listing the pears in advance during the market gap period, some fruit merchants buy pears at high prices and fruit farmers sell them at high prices. After entering the market, the pears do not taste good, and consumers are unwilling to continue to pay for the poor experiences. The price of seasonal fruits such as watermelon, melon, peach, and so on is low on the market. Their supply is high, and they taste good. Consumers naturally prefer seasonal fruits with good taste and good experiences.

With the listing of various fresh pears, they have to not only compete with other seasonal fruits for the market but also squeeze each other out of the market. But in the end, the pears still have to rely on quality to get the preference of the market and consumers.
