Summer is in full swing at Well•Pict and so is strawberry production. “The length of daylight during the summer months bring an acceleration of the flower-to-fruit cycle,” explains Dan Crowley, Vice President for Well•Pict. He continues “What has been a 28-to-30 day event now occurs over 24 to 26 days, increasing output with additional conventional and organic strawberries. The temperatures are appropriate for this time of year (50˚F to 70˚F), so the quality and condition of the berries is excellent.”
