The HDG Survey Group was established in 2020, but its history goes back to 1981 when HDG The Fruit Consultants (Rotterdam) was founded. Today, the HDG Survey Group consists of HDG The Fruit Consultants, HDG Ibérica, Fruitify Experts, HDG Germany, Agri Software, and HDG Academy. "The HDG Survey Group is integrally cooperative. The synergy that brings offers our customers additional added value," Stijn Verstijnen, co-director of the HDG Survey Group, points out.

"We have companies in the Netherlands, Germany, and Spain. We can, thus, relieve businesses across the world of their fruit and vegetable products' quality management burden. We use a service package of quality inspections, assessments, inspection software, and training courses for this."
"We can call on our international network of (quality) inspectors for all surveys, regardless of where in the world. Our 75-strong team of professionals has many years of practical experience. They go out every day to help importers, exporters, and insurers," says Stijn. Here, he again explains the group's various components.
HDG The Fruit Consultants
HDG The Fruit Consultants specializes in the unique combination of fruit and vegetable surveys, quality inspections, and claims handling. Founded in 1981 in Rotterdam, with a view of the Rotterdam harbor, the company works internationally for importers, exporters, and insurers.
HDG Survey Ibérica
HDG Ibérica was established in 2007 to be able to work as closely as possible with Spanish growers and facilitate quality control for them. It was integrated into the HDG Survey Group, and so HDG Ibérica now also works internationally.
Fruitify Experts
Fruitify Experts' core business is fruit and vegetable quality control. It also does expert assessments. The company was founded in 2012 and is located in the heart of Dutch Fresh Port, Ridderkerk.
HDG Germany
In 2017, HDG Germany was established to offer German clients the best fruit and vegetable quality control. Fellow companies' product knowledge and expertise are bundled in a branch in Hamburg, Germany's largest port. From there, HDG Germany can service the growing North German market.
Agri Software
Agri Software specializes in fruit and vegetable quality control software development. The company, founded in 2021, helps quality inspectors use their time efficiently thanks to QC4U - a smart quality control app with integrated tools for optimal fruit and vegetable quality control and claim processing. QC4U was developed for HDG The Fruit Consultants.
HDG The Fruit Consultants and Fruitify Experts used it exclusively until 2015. It was then decided to make this technology available to third parties as well, and Agri Software was founded. The app simplifies users' working method and seamlessly converts all input into usable big data.
HDG Academy
The HDG Academy is the latest addition to the HDG Survey Group stable. Established in 2022, this academy wants to use specially designed programs to share the know-how gained about fruit and vegetable quality control. These employee and customer courses and training sessions are carefully compiled based on the knowledge accumulated over the past 40 years. HDG Academy aims to become the best educational player in this market.
