Australian consumers turn to food delivery services to get cheaper fruit and vegetables

With the price of groceries soaring in Australia, shoppers are looking for new and savvy alternatives to help them stick to their budget. A lady from Brisbane, tried food delivery service Funky Foods and had a huge box of fruit and vegetables dropped to her doorstep. She paid $54 for a mixed food haul that included seven avocados, one lettuce, three bunches of bananas, one cauliflower, three lemons, two limes, 13 oranges, 19 apples, four pears, two garlic cloves, two red capsicum, sweet potato, onions, and several tomatoes and carrots.

The same haul would cost $80-$100 at the supermarket.
