The cold supply chain market is rapidly developing and the use of temperature and humidity data loggers grows more important every day.
Beijing Sino-Agricultural Biosciences Co., Ltd. is a company specialized in the manufacturing and supply of temperature and humidity data loggers. The company recently introduced their METECH single-use USB temperature data logger. Company spokesperson Siya introduced the features of this data logger and talked about its applications.
The pandemic created a shortage of shipping containers and backlogs in ports across the globe. These conditions proved challenging for the distribution of agricultural products. The product quality suffered during transport and that had an impact on the market price.
"In order to better meet the requirements of our clients in the cold supply chain industry, we introduced the METECH single-use USB temperature data logger. The main function of this product is to track temperature changes of products during transport," said Siya. "The data logger has a wide applicability. Our clients include importers and exporters of apples, pears, mangoes, avocados, and all kinds of stone fruit, as well as cold supply chain importers and exporters."
Siya continued to describe the functionalities of the data logger: "This is our most foundational temperature and humidity data logger. The data logger measures temperatures between -30°C～+70°C with an accuracy of around 0.5°C/0.9°F at gradients of 0.01°C/°F. Each data logger is functional for up to 120 days," said Siya. "The data loggers are made of food-grade packaging and water proof. They are also easy to use. Clients only need to plug the data logger into a computer to automatically generate a PDF with relevant data. No additional software or equipment is required."
"The number of inquiries and orders increased during the pandemic. Our sales volume this year is twice the volume of last year," said Siya. When asked about the impact of the computer chip shortage, Siya explained: "At Beijing Sino-Agricultural Bioscience we engage in conversations with suppliers before a shortage occurs so that we can quickly respond to changing market conditions and build up our own reserves as a buffer. Our manufacturing and sales operations have not been affected."
When asked about the advantages of METECH single-use USB temperature data loggers over other data loggers in the market, Siya said: "We make use of TI digital temperature sensors with a high accuracy and consistency. The shortage of computer chips has been ongoing for some time, but we built up a reserve to guarantee stability in manufacturing and supply."
