Anecoop's Bio seedless mini watermelon receives innovation award

Anecoop's Bio Bouquet mini seedless watermelon has been voted Best Innovative Product in the Organic Fresh Food sector in an exhibition of innovative products organized as part of the latest edition of the Organic Food Iberia fair, held on June 8 and 9 at IFEMA.

With a striped rind and deep red flesh, it weighs between 2 and 3 kilos, making it perfect for one- or two-person households.

"This mini version of one of the flagship summer fruits meets every requirement to become a favorite among consumers: it is refreshing and very healthy, low in calories and does not have the annoying black pips. It is a variety that, despite its small size, has a surprisingly great flavor and sweetness. It is all watermelon heart. Moreover, when marketed under the Bio Bouquet brand, it offers all the usual guarantees of an organic product."

Anecoop and its company specialized in organic production, Solagora, have participated as exhibitors in Organic Food Iberia to promote its range of organic fruits and vegetables, marketed under the brands Bouquet Bio and Solagora, as well as other organic products in its range, such as the guacamole "¿Ysi? of Bouquet", among other products. "The fair has become one of the leading international events for professionals in the organic sector, a segment that is growing throughout Europe and which has great prospects," they say.

Anecoop has made a strong commitment to promoting the cultivation and marketing of organic products as part of its commitment to meeting the objectives of the European Green Pact. The food cooperative is working to adapt its management in all areas to the requirements of low environmental impact promoted both by the European Union and the UN. Proof of this is its adhesion last October to the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact as a "signatory" partner.

In the words of the president of Anecoop, Alejandro Monzón, "we and our partners are proud to receive this recognition in the year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Bouquet watermelon, which was groundbreaking when it was first introduced because it changed how the fruit was consumed. Since then, it has not stopped growing thanks to our commitment to innovation and leadership, which are allowing us to provide consumers with a healthy, attractive and quality product."
